Oakland Drop-box Remaining

Our drop-box in Oakland will remain intact, indefinitely. So although our Oakland store is closing this weekend, you will still be able to rent in Bloomfield and RETURN your movies in Oakland. Hopefully, this will provide some additional convenience for those of you who used to frequent our S. Craig Street location. While you're dropping off your DVDs in Oakland, make sure to support our former neighbors Phantom of the Attic Games & Wicked Discs - two great local retailers!

Closing Early on Superbowl Sunday

Dreaming Ant will be closing at 5:30PM this Sunday (February 1) in order to allow all of our staff the same opportunity to support the mighty Pittsburgh Steelers...well, and because it's highly unlikely any of yinz are gonna be watching movies that night n@!

and the ants go marching on

After lengthy and painful deliberation, we have come to the conclusion that we can not afford to keep our Oakland Dreaming Ant location open much longer. We plan on closing our Oakland doors at the end of the day on January 31st. Our Oakland drop-box will remain available for returns at least until the end of March, however, and possibly until the end of the year...if I can convince our landlord and the other building tenants to allow us this convenience.

Our plans for Bloomfield are to keep things status quo. We will migrate all of our movies to our Crazy Mocha location. We have yet to determine, however, how to store/display the 5,000+ movie cases currently in Oakland...so any suggestions would be welcome!

It's very sad for me to have to close Oakland seeing as we've all put a lot of time and energy into it, but the reality is that even after two years we have yet to break even. We hope that those whom we did get to know in Oakland will make the short jaunt to Bloomfield.
